Police arrest two women and a man in slaying of San Bernardino driver
Three people have been arrested in San Bernardino on suspicion of killing a man they allegedly robbed after he tried to follow them, police said.
Following up on tips from witnesses and information provided by the victim before he was killed, police said Tuesday that they have arrested Frankie Miranda, 20; Monique Carvajal, 19; and Mariah Jimenez, 18, all of San Bernardino.
The trio was charged with robbery and murder Tuesday in the slaying of Christian Morales, 19, on May 23.

According to police, Morales had just been robbed at Lytle Creek Park about 8:30 p.m. He decided to get into his car and follow his attackers’ vehicle, Lt. Rich Lawhead said.
Morales followed the suspects’ car into the 1300 block of Poplar Street – a dead end – where one of the three suspects stepped from the vehicle, confronted Morales and fatally shot him, authorities said.
Morales was “on the phone with dispatch when the shooting occurred,” Lawhead said.
Lawhead said Morales gave dispatchers “some pretty good information” on the shooter.
