Authorities arrest man in fatal stabbing of his mother

A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday night in connection with the fatal stabbing of his mother, authorities said.
Jesse Lucatero was booked on a murder charge and is being held in lieu of $2-million bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Around 1 p.m., authorities said, the husband of the victim, identified as Maria Acevedo, discovered his wife with stab wounds to her upper torso inside their home in the 19500 block of Castille Lane in Saugus.
Santa Clarita Station personnel and paramedics responded, the sheriff’s department said, and Acevedo, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene.
