Divers have recovered the body of a second boater reported missing after a vessel capsized on Pyramid Lake three days ago, authorities said.
The body of Baldwin Park resident Jack Thirasack, 64, was found Wednesday morning. Officials recovered the body of his friend -- 52-year-old Rich Tanovan of West Covina -- on Sunday.
The boat was discovered Sunday partially submerged 30 yards from shore.
Tanovan, whose body was found tangled in foliage about 15 feet from shore, apparently drowned, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said.
Thirasack, whose fishing license was discovered in the water before his body was found, had gone to the lake with Tanovan, his family told investigators.
Cadaver dogs and dozens of divers scoured the lake during the intensive search, which included using sonar equipment to navigate the murky water.
