Police chased a stolen San Francisco Chronicle newspaper delivery van Monday morning during a high-speed chase through the Bay Area.
San Francisco police say they tried to stop the stolen van at 8:27 a.m. at Keith Street and Palou Avenue, but it took off.
Police followed the stolen van as it crossed over the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, where California Highway Patrol officers took over.
CHP Patrol Officer Ron Simmons said officers followed the van into San Leandro and were working with city police to find the driver.
KGO-TV reported that a man bailed out of the stolen van, then hopped onto a bicycle.
Officers used police dogs to search the San Leandro neighborhood for the driver.
