Reader Photo: A clear night sky
In the luminous city of Los Angeles, the existence of stars is easy to forget. But a quick drive along Pacific Coast Highway can be a beautiful reminder.
This month, Alejandro Rubalcaba headed to Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu to unwind after a long week at work. He posted himself near the lifeguard tower to shoot images of the clear night sky.
At a 15-second exposure, he captured the Milky Way and a shooting star.
“The night sky is something we should all experience.” he said.
Rubalcaba made this image using a Canon SLR with a 28 mm lens mounted on a tripod.
