Letters: How’d they get their guns?
Re “Police baffled by mall killings,” Jan. 27
Can I be the only one at a loss to understand priorities?
There have been fatal shootings at malls and schools just this month. The primary question afterward seems be about the motives. In fact, this article deals primarily with questions over what motivated the shooter at the Mall in Columbia.
The question should be how the shooter got the gun. The priority should be on getting guns off the streets.
Fewer guns means fewer shootings, saving more lives and making motives less relevant.
