He produced and hosted The Times’ online food series “Off Menu” in 2019. Before coming to The Times in 2018, he wrote the New York Times’ Frugal Traveler column for nearly three years and hosted and produced more than 100 episodes of the food series “Dining on a Dime” for Eater. He is from Oak Park, Ill., and graduated from Williams College.
