Burbank police investigating shooting at Verdugo Park
Burbank police are investigating a shooting at Verdugo Park on Sunday afternoon, though no injuries were reported and it’s unclear if someone was targeted, police said.
After receiving a report of shots fired, authorities responded to the park — located in the 3200 block of West Verdugo Avenue — where they recovered gun shells, said Burbank Police Sgt. Celia Hawver.
Police believe someone drove by and shot a gun, but “we don’t know at what or whom,” Hawver said.
The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m., said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.
Further details were not available.
