Proposals sought for high-speed rail station
Burbank is seeking proposals from consulting firms to help develop the city’s Golden State Specific Plan and High Speed Station Area Plan in the area near Bob Hope Airport.
The area is roughly 600 acres and includes a proposed high-speed rail station and two Metrolink stations. The plan will address land uses, infrastructure, building and site-plan design, open space, transportation, parking, landscaping as well as pedestrian and bicycle access, according to an announcement from the city.

The project area is bounded by the airport to the west and Ontario Street, Buena Vista Street to the east, with Cohasset Street and Golden State (5) Freeway to the north and Empire and Pacific avenues and Vanowen Street to the south.
