Man wounded in stabbing at Costa Mesa apartments

A man was hospitalized after a stabbing at a Costa Mesa apartment complex Thursday morning, according to police and fire officials.

Officers and paramedics who responded to 1555 Mesa Verde Drive East shortly before 9:30 a.m. found the wounded man, according to Costa Mesa police Sgt. David Casarez.

The Costa Mesa Fire Department took the man to a trauma center in Santa Ana. He is expected to survive, Casarez said.

Police said they could not immediately provide further information.
