SURF AND SUN
WEATHER FORECAST
The morning will start with the now-familiar clouds and low 60
temperatures. The sun will spend much of the day trying to break through
as we slowly inch our way into the high 70s.
The evening will stay cool, but there won’t be much wind. It’s not
what you’re looking for for the last gasp of summer.
BOATING FORECAST
Winds in the harbor this morning are light and out of the southwest.
Watch for areas of fog. By the afternoon, the winds will pick up a little
to just 10 knots. The swell is mixed from the south and west at 3 feet.
By nightfall, the winds will calm back down and the swell will drop to 2
feet.
Light winds also dominate in the deeper waters at 10 to 15 knots. A
mixed swell from the south and northwest will start the day at about 2
feet but will strengthen to 5 feet by the afternoon. The winds will start
to die off late.
SURF
Hurricane Flossie turned out to be a bust. The few sets from Friday
that were head high are even fewer. Expect 2- to 3-foot waves with only
fair shape. At least the water’s warm. Pull out the longboard.
