NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION

The seventh session in the Communication Connection program

series, led by Millard MacAdam, will be held at the Oasis Senior

Center on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in room 1A. All are

welcome.

The topic is titled “Using Nonverbal Techniques for Enhancing

Understanding.” The focus is on learning how to consciously manage

your nonverbal behavior, so it is congruent with your emotions, words

and intents. These techniques help build trust, rapport and

understanding with others when you are communicating with them. They

also help you avoid unintentionally sending the wrong emotional

message and confusing people, MacAdam said.
