Glendale police find person of interest, car allegedly used in fatal hit-and-run
Investigators have identified a person of interest in the hit-and-run collision reported Saturday evening that claimed the life of an 81-year-old Glendale man, police said.
Forensic investigators on Wednesday were processing for evidence a white Toyota Camry they believe was involved in the collision, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

The fatality on Saturday marked the third pedestrian-related death this year in Glendale. Martiros Arutyunyan was legally crossing Broadway from Belmont Street when he was struck by a sedan, the driver of which failed to stop and fled east on Broadway.
Arutyunyan sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Traffic investigators have worked around-the-clock to find the woman behind the wheel, canvassing the crime scene for evidence, surveillance footage and witnesses, William said.
On Tuesday, the city announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver. Police got a number of phone calls, though none produced viable leads.
Authorities located a person of interest using other investigative resources, though they declined to elaborate further.

In the prior pedestrian-related deaths, a 33-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a car while crossing illegally at Pacific Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard.
In February, a 56-year-old man died the morning after he was hit by a car while jaywalking on Verdugo Road just south of Wilson Avenue.
