Police seek suspects in Glendale package theft caught on camera
Police are looking for a woman — and her getaway driver — who was caught on camera stealing a package from the front porch of a Glendale home last month, officials said.
On the afternoon of Jan. 23, security footage caught the pair’s car stopping, reversing and parking in front of a driveway in the 2300 block of Flintridge Drive.
The passenger, described as a Latina woman in her early 20s with tattoos on her left arm and abdomen, hopped out of the car and grabbed the package before running back to the car and shoving it inside.
The driver, a woman whose description was not available, began to drive away before the thief was fully in the car as another woman chased after them.
They sped off in a gray Honda Civic with tinted windows and a license plate that starts with “7.”
Another Glendale resident reported a similar theft last month from the porch of his home, located near Arboles and Alcalde drives.
The suspect, who was reportedly driving a rental car, stopped in front of the home on Jan. 14, grabbed a package from the front porch, shoved it in his car and fled, according to resident Artem Sarian.
The loss? A $9 bag of dog food.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4811. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
