Police: Man killed after truck, Prius hit him along Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach
A pedestrian died early Saturday morning after being struck by two vehicles traveling along Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach police said.
After officers arrived at Beach and Terry Drive around 2:30 a.m., they discovered a deceased man in the street.
Police said they believe the man was outside the crosswalk when he was hit by a red Nissan truck heading northbound along Beach. Then, a white Toyota Prius, also traveling northbound, hit him.
The Orange County coroner’s office identified the man as Gene Oquin, 59. His city of residence was not released.
Impairment does not appear to be a factor in the incident, according to authorities. No citations were issued.
