Second public workshop on emissions scheduled at LCF City Hall
The second in a series of monthly public workshops to review La Cañada Flintridge’s recently prepared draft of the 2014 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 10 in council chambers at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Blvd. The meeting is part of the wider development of a citywide Climate Action Plan being created to reduce emissions through policy and planning.

The inventory identifies the major sources and quantities of greenhouse gas emissions produced by city government operations and community activities inside La Cañada in 2014. At this week’s meeting, consultants and city staff will provide information regarding progress and changes since the last inventory report was conducted in 2007, and since the city’s 2013 Energy Action Plan.
A list of measures meant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will be discussed in a meeting planned for sometime in April. The draft Climate Action Plan created throughout the workshop process is anticipated to be brought before the La Cañada Flintridge Planning Commission in May and the City Council in June.
Anyone who is unable to attend the meetings in person is asked to direct comments and questions to Christina McAdams at cmcadams@rinconconsultants.com. For more information on the March 10 workshop, call City Hall at (818) 790-8880.
