Baseball: Huntington Beach’s field of dreams is making progress
Huntington Beach baseball Coach Benji Medure will always remember Nov. 17, 2015.
It’s the day his fourth daughter was born. It’s also the day construction began on Huntington Beach’s new baseball stadium.
Medure said lots of progress is being made, and the plan is to have it completed by April 4, when Huntington Beach has scheduled its first home game of the 2016 season.
New dugouts, new seating, new screen, new bullpens _ it’s going to be the Oilers’ field of dreams.
Huntington Beach won the Southern Section Division 1 championship last season and will be favored to repeat this spring.
