Baseball: Reggie Smith Jr. is expected to be new Granada Hills coach

Pending paperwork completion, Reggie Smith Jr. is expected to be the next baseball coach at Granada Hills High.
Smith, who served as an assistant junior varsity coach at Birmingham last season, said he still needs to finalize some materials before he is officially named coach.
He would replace Steve Thompson, who resigned.
Smith was a standout athlete during his playing days at Montclair Prep and has coached football and baseball. He is the son of former Dodger outfielder Reggie Smith.
