Baseball: Village Christian scores 5 runs in seventh to win, 9-8
Sun Valley Village Christian advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Section Division 5 baseball playoffs thanks to a stunning seventh-inning comeback on Saturday.
The Crusaders scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Tahquitz, 9-8.
The tying run came home on a sacrifice fly. When the ball got away from the catcher on the throw to home, the winning run scored.
Village Christian will host Oak Hills in the semifinals at Tujunga Little League.
