Football: Gardena Serra is waiting for John Houston to get healthy
Junior linebacker John Houston, expected to be the top player on Gardena Serra’s defense, is still trying to get healthy from a stress fracture in his back. He has been sidelined all summer.
“He’s going crazy,” Coach Scott Altenberg said. “He wants to be on the field.”
Serra wants to make sure he is completely healthy, so Houston probably won’t be playing for another couple of weeks.
As for the Cavaliers’ quarterback competition between junior Khalil Tate and senior Caleb Wilson, a transfer for Georgia, Altenberg said as of now, both are going to play.
“I cannot distinguish between the two,” he said. “We’re going to play them both. That’s the plan.”
