Football: Jeff Steinberg resigns at Corona Santiago, appears headed to Rancho Verde
Jeff Steinberg announced Friday that he has resigned as football coach at Corona Santiago after six years. There are reports he’s headed to Rancho Verde, where Pete Duffy resigned after 10 seasons as coach.
Steinberg is a passing guru who helped tutor Alabama freshman quarterback Blake Barnett.
He’ll need approval from Rancho Verde’s school district before job is finalized.
Duffy said Friday night that Steinberg will be taking his coaching job and he will become an assistant at Murrieta Valley.
