Jeff Williams, the football coach at Palmdale since 1991, announced on Monday night at the team banquet that he was stepping down as coach.
“I felt the time was right,” Williams said Tuesday morning.
Williams built a stable, successful program at Palmdale.
He said he will remain a teacher and athletic director at the school. Palmdale will begin a search to replace him.
He said he is most grateful for the relationships he built with players and coaches through the years.
