The officials decided to stop the Inglewood-North Torrance football game in the third quarter on Friday night after players came off the sideline during a punt return. North Torrance was winning, 21-14.
Inglewood Coach Jason Miller said according to the officials’ report, two Inglewood players were ejected and one North Torrance player was removed. They won’t be allowed to play next week.
“The officials felt they couldn’t keep control after that,” Miller said.
Miller said his player was thrown to the turf roughly during a punt return, resulting in flags being thrown. That’s when there was pushing and shoving and players left the benches.
There also were ejections during the North Hollywood-Sun Valley Poly game on Friday night.
