Football: QB Max Gilliam of Thousand Oaks has stats to scream about
It’s the year of the quarterback in Southern California high school football, and one QB rolling up statistics that would impress anyone is junior Max Gilliam of Thousand Oaks.
In leading the Lancers to a 4-0 start, the 6-foot-3 Gilliam has completed 75% of his passes for 1,021 yards and 12 touchdowns with three interceptions.
Coach Mike Leibin likes Gilliam’s athleticism. He also has run for 234 yards and five touchdowns.
There was 236 yards passing against San Juan Hills, 320 against Canyon Country Canyon, 154 against Plamdale Highland and 311 yards against West Ranch.
