Girls’ golf: Granada Hills sets record in winning City Section team title

Granada Hills didn’t just win the City Section girls’ golf championship on Monday at Balboa Golf Course. The Highlanders set a City Section record for lowest team score, shooting 421. North Hollywood was second at 484 and Van Nuys took third at 494.
It was the third consecutive City title and ninth in 13 years for Coach Steve Thompson.
Tiffany Yau of Van Nuys won her third consecutive individual title, shooting a four-under 69.
Leading Granada Hills were Julia Youn, who shot a 78, and Jojo Roecker and Nia Aniceto, who shot 84.
