Golf: Westlake wins its fourth consecutive Southern Section title behind Justin Egelske

How good is the Westlake High golf program?

So good that its No. 1 player, UCLA-bound Spencer Soosman, was missing in action on Thursday at the Northern Division finals while taking part in a U.S. Open Qualifier, and the Warriors still won their fourth consecutive Southern Section championship.

And they did it shooting a record team score of 350. Leading the way was Justin Engelske, who shot a seven-under 65 at Soule Park Golf Course. Preston Smith chipped in with a 68.
