Kicker Manny Berz, basketball player Cynthia White are state Wendy’s high school Heisman winners

Kicker Manny Berz of Citrus Hill and basketball player Cynthia White of Hemet have been selected the male and female winners in California for Wendy’s High School Heisman program.

Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship and move on to compete for one of 10 national finalist positions.

The national winner will be announced on Dec. 9.
