Lacrosse takes spotlight in Carpinteria

The inaugural Santa Barbara Showdown lacrosse tournament will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Santa Barbara Polo Club in Carpinteria.
More than 80 lacrosse teams in seven divisions ranging in age from 8 through 18 will compete for championships in U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U18 and U19. There will be 16 fields in use.
