Lots of SoCal products in NCAA baseball playoffs
The NCAA baseball playoffs begin this week, and lots of Southern California products should be in the spotlight.
Former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame standout JJ Muno is batting .282 with 16 stolen bases and seven home runs for UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos are seeded No. 2 in the Nashville bracket behind Vanderbilt. PitchersShane Bieber (Laguna Hills) is 11-3 with a 2.96 ERA.
Former Fountain Valley outfielder Brock Lundquist is batting .314 with 35 RBIs for Long Beach State.
Former Long Beach Wilson infielder Timmy Richards has nine home runs for Cal State Fullerton. Former Newport Harbor pitcher Connor Seabold is 7-5 with a 2.42 ERA.
Former Harvard-Westlake catcher Arden Pabst has started 39 games for Georgia Tech and has nine doubles and 18 RBIs.
Former Simi Valley infielder Cody Ramer is batting .356 with 35 RBIs for Arizona.
Former Peninsula pitcher Eli Morgan is 10-2 with a 3.66 ERA for Gonzaga.
Former Loyola pitcher Chad Powers is 6-3 with a 2.07 ERA for Princeton.
Former Chatsworth infielder Chris DeVito leads New Mexico in hitting with a .379 batting average, 16 home runs and 62 RBIs.
