SoCal golfers earn trip to Augusta National

A group of Southern California youth golfers have qualified for the Drive, Chip and Putt National finals to be held on April 2 before the start of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

For girls, the participants are Kristina Xu of Claremont (age 7 to 9); Lucy Yuan of San Diego (10-11); Nalani Sam of Anaheim Hills (12-13), and Megan Ahmadi of Westlake Village (14-15).

For boys, the local qualifiers are Carter Gaede of Manhattan Beach (7-9); Liam Hartling of Redlands (10-11), and Evan Chien of Irvine (12-13).

The qualifying took place at Riviera Country Club.
