Track: CJ Sanders is getting into shape for Sherman Oaks Notre Dame
- Share via
You can’t just step onto the track and run a fast time without training. That’s what longtime Coach Joe McNab of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame tells me.
So everyone be patient with CJ Sanders.
He ran 10.61 last year when he was the state champion in Tennessee. Last Saturday, after about three weeks of training, he ran 10.90 for Notre Dame.
McNab was pleased.
“He’s getting into shape,” McNab said.
It’s a process, and Sanders is next scheduled to run on Saturday in San Diego in the Mt. Carmel Inivtational.
By season’s end, McNab is confident Sanders will be one of the state’s top sprinters.
