Track: Crespi shot putter Amir Ali Patterson loses in court

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied on Monday an attempt by shot putter Amir Ali Patterson to obtain a temporary restraining order against the CIF Southern Section that would have made him eligible for his senior season.
Judge Luis A. Lavin said Ali Patterson has not exhausted his appeals in the CIF.
CIF Executive Director Roger Blake can still hear an appeal from Ali Patterson. The Southern Section denied his appeal for a hardship waiver last October.
The Southern Section ruled Ali Patterson had exhausted his athletic eligibility. Ali Patterson started the ninth grade in 2009, then went back to eighth grade.
