Lamont Jones stars as Arizona survives against California in triple overtime, 107-105

Lamont Jones made a go-ahead lay-in with 1:03 left in the third overtime, the tying three-pointer with five seconds to go in the second overtime and the tying three-point play late in regulation, sending No. 21 Arizona to a thrilling 107-105 victory over California on Saturday night at Berkeley

Jones finished with a career-high 27 points in the Wildcats’ fifth consecutive win and Kevin Parrom scored five of his 25 points in the third extra period for Arizona (20-4, 9-2 Pac-10).

Harper Kamp scored a career-high 33 points for the defending Pac-10 champion Golden Bears (13-10, 6-5), seven in the second extra period. Cal had its four-game winning streak snapped.

This marked Cal’s longest home game since a five-overtime, 107-102 victory over Oregon in 1977. The Bears won a triple-overtime game at Washington in January 2009.

at Oregon 81, No. 20 Washington 76: Joevan Catron had 20 points and nine rebounds and the Huskies suffered their third loss in a week.

E.J. Singler added 16 points for the Ducks (12-11, 5-6 Pac-10), including four on free throws in the final 25.7 seconds, after the Huskies twice cut Oregon’s lead to two points.

Matt Bryan-Amaning scored 21 to lead Washington (15-7, 7-4), which lost to Oregon State on Thursday to drop out of the top spot in the conference. The Huskies also lost to Washington State on Sunday.

Justin Holiday finished with 16 points for Washington, Isaiah Thomas had 13 points and Terrence Ross scored 12.

at Stanford 83, Arizona State 75: Jeremy Green scored a season-high 23 points and Josh Owens added 16 as the Cardinal won for only the second time in seven games.

Jarrett Mann scored a career-high 14 points for Stanford (12-10, 5-6), and Aaron Bright scored 10 points.

Green made all five of his three-point attempts and had back-to-back games with at least 20 points for the second time this year. Stanford scored its most points since getting 92 against Arkansas Pine Bluff on Nov. 21.

Jamelle McMillan scored 17 points to lead the Sun Devils (9-14, 1-10), who lost their seventh in a row.

Washington State 61, at Oregon State 55: Reggie Moore had 14 points and DeAngelo Casto added 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Cougars.

Washington State (16-7, 6-5 Pac-10) overcame an off night from leading scorer Klay Thompson, who had six points on two-of-seven shooting and fouled out with 1:57 left.

Devon Collier had a career-high 16 points and 10 rebounds for Oregon State (9-13, 4-7), which led only once, at 11-10.
