Rankman was so impressed with Oklahoma’s win over Florida State that he bumped the Sooners, everybody else’s No. 1 team, up two spots to No. 2. Actually, No. 3 Louisiana State will be the undisputed Creole Kings if Les Miles’ Tigers are undefeated on Nov. 5 after wins over West Virginia and Alabama. Four teams bottomed out of the top 25 this week and were topped by Clemson, Georgia Tech, Houston and Illinois. Georgia Tech has not enjoyed a drubbing like 66-24 over Kansas since John Heisman’s team clobbered Cumberland, 222-0, in 1916.
