USC does not begin training camp until early August.
But USC coaches worked at their craft during their annual “Trojan Football: 101 for Ladies” clinic.
Always-animated defensive line coach Ed Orgeron took a star turn in a video produced by the school.
Orgeron is no doubt happy about defensive lineman Delvon Simmons’ announcement that he is transferring from Texas Tech to USC.
Simmons will sit out this season and be eligible in 2014.
USC opens its season Aug. 29 at Hawaii.
