Jeremy Lin pranks at Madame Tussauds, pretends to be wax likeness
Jeremy Lin chose to have some fun with patrons at Madame Tussauds on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf.
The veteran point guard recent dressed in his Lakers uniform, pretending to be a wax statue -- surprising spectators as they approached to take a photograph.
Lin managed to fool his uncle, but his mother seemed skeptical -- giving her son a quick poke and then a slap on his shoulder.
Other guests were completely taken off guard once the motionless Lin came to life.
Lin’s likeness was unveiled Aug. 14, joining Madame Tussauds’ collection of celebrities, athletes and politicians. The San Francisco branch also features local icons such as Lin, who is the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA.
The Lakers acquired Lin from the Houston Rockets in a July trade. He may start for the team this season, or come off the bench behind 40-year-old Steve Nash.
The 26-year old guard averaged 12.5 points a game for the Rockets last season, shooting career highs from the field (44.2%), three-point line (35.8%) and free-throw line (82.3%).
