WWE executive dreams of bringing Ronda Rousey into the WWE ring
Ronda Rousey’s return to the WWE ring is a possibility. And it wouldn’t be just another cameo.
Earlier in the week on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion confirmed that her next fight, at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes, would be one of her last. This certainly opens the doors for other career options.
WWE minority owner and Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon has her sights of bringing Rousey back to the WWE ring as a regular.
McMahon spoke with TMZ Sports on Thursday about Rousey’s possible return to WWE.
“God, I certainly hope so,“ she said. “I gotta get her back because she put me in that arm bar.”
When asked if she would push to sign Rousey once the fighter retires from UFC, McMahon laughed.
“Well I certainly going to try,” she said. “And I’ll just leave it at that.”
Rousey is no stranger to the ring. She made an appearance at Wrestlemania 31 in 2014 with The Rock, hip tossing tossed Triple H and putting McMahon in a standing arm bar.
