Tim Tebow’s brother gloats on Twitter after Denver Broncos’ loss

Tim Tebow was traded by Denver to the New York Jets during last off-season, which might be why his brother was so happy when the Broncos were knocked out of the playoffs this past weekend.

Peter Tebow has more than 14,700 Twitter followers.

Wait, don’t go anywhere. I know it seems as if the fact that a guy best known for being Tim Tebow’s brother has a following might seem as if it’s news in itself, but there’s more.

After the Denver Broncos were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, Peter Tebow tweeted: “Am I the only one in Denver who’s happy right now?”

But hold on. Didn’t the Broncos lose in the same round last year? Can’t be sure, but I’m willing to bet the less famous Tebow wasn’t gloating online back then.

Why? Because his little brother was Denver’s starting quarterback at that time, so a season-ending loss wasn’t nearly as amusing then.

Since then, though, the Tebow who plays pro football was traded by the Broncos to the New York Jets, where he got little playing time as a reserve quarterback for a team that didn’t come close to making the playoffs.

And apparently all that is the fault of Broncos Executive Vice President John Elway, prompting Peter Tebow to also retweet this post from another Twitter user: “That’s karma, Elway.”

Listen, Pete. We know your brother has one more playoff win with the Broncos than Peyton Manning because Denver had to win a wild-card game to get to the divisional round last year. And you seem like a good enough guy, at least based on this profile.

And we’re happy that you’re happy. But maybe this was one time you could have kept it to yourself.
