UCLA’s Kyle Anderson named third-team All-American
UCLA’s Kyle Anderson was named third-team All-American by the Associated Press.
Anderson, a sophomore, averaged 14.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists this season. He helped the Bruins reach the South Regional semifinals, where they lost top-seeded Florida.
Creighton’s Doug McDermott was a unanimous first-team selection. He is the first three-time All-American in 29 seasons. Duke’s Jabari Parker, Louisville’s Russ Smith of Louisville, Connecticut’s Shabazz Napier and Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick were also named first-team.
