USC football: Four new players enroll for spring semester
Quarterback Jalen Greene, defensive lineman/linebacker Don Hill and offensive linemen Jordan Austin and Toa Lobendahn graduated early from high school and have enrolled at USC for the spring semester, Trojans Coach Steve Sarkisian announced Monday.
“We are excited to welcome these players to the USC football program,” Sarkisian said in a statement. “They are all outstanding players and bright students. We anticipate they will contribute immediately when we start spring practice.”
Greene, 6 feet 3 and 195 pounds, passed for 33 touchdowns, with six interceptions, and rushed for 1,209 yards and 14 touchdowns last season for Gardena Serra High.
The 6-4, 235-pound Hill sat out most of last season at Boise (Idaho) Timberline High because of a Achilles’ tendon injury.
Austin, 6-5 and 275, was a three-year starter at Claremont High.
Lobendahn, 6-3 and 290, played at Lakewood and La Habra high schools. He was Freeway League lineman of the year in 2013 at La Habra.
