UCLA safety Randall Goforth lost for the season
UCLA safety Randall Goforth will have surgery on both shoulders and will be lost for the season.
Goforth separated his right shoulder against Memphis on Sept. 6. He had previously separated his left shoulder. He will have two surgeries and will likely be out until next fall. He is expected to have his first surgery this week.
Tahaan Goodman started in his place last week. Goforth is one of UCLA’s best open-field tacklers, and was fourth on the team with 78 tackles last season.
UCLA played without both its starting safeties against Texas on Sept. 13. Anthony Jefferson sat out with a sprained ankle, and Jaleel Wadood started in his place. Jefferson has practice this week and is expected to play.
