USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams was named to the second team of the Walter Camp All-America team announced Thursday.
Utah’s Nate Orchard, Missouri’s Shane Ray, Clemson’s Vic Beasley and Ohio State’s Joey Bosa were first-team defensive linemen.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Williams has 8 1/2 tackles for losses, including six sacks.
The junior from Florida is projected as a possible first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Williams has not said whether he would make himself for the draft or return for his final season of eligibility, but he is expected to turn pro.
Williams and USC return to practice Friday to continue preparations for the Dec. 27 Holiday Bowl game against Nebraska.
UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks also was named to the second team.
