Science Family Day
When, where: March 19, Balboa Park
Highlights: About 20 museums and cultural institutions offer family-friendly science-related activities, workshops and special programs to kick off the weeklong San Diego Science Festival, which culminates March 26 with a free Science Expo at Petco Park.
Cost: Free for ages 17 and younger with a paid adult ticket at participating museums; some museums will have free admission for everyone.
