Adults looking to hone their English language skills will have several opportunities to do so over the next several weeks.
The Laguna Beach Unified School District is offering free in-person and online classes for students of varying levels of proficiency. Classes, which began Monday, will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays through June 23.
Community members can register during regular class hours or online at bit.ly/1NkW09t.
The state’s Adult Education Block Grant program provided funding for the courses.
“We have planned an exciting, language-rich curriculum to assist adult learners in gaining the English language skills needed to succeed,” Darlene Messinger, the district’s assistant superintendent of instructional services, said in a news release.
Classes will be held in Room 91 at 811 Manzanita Drive, across Park Avenue from Laguna Beach High.
