National park tips: Disney Museum in San Francisco tells Walt’s story
What did Walt Disney have to do with the national park system? Nothing. With San Francisco? Nothing again.
Yet since 2009 the Walt Disney Family Museum has been in residence among the old brick barracks in the city’s Presidio. (Diane Disney Miller, daughter of Walt and a founder of the museum, lived in Northern California and liked the idea of a museum up there.)
It’s a well-appointed museum, and it tells well the authorized story of Walt and his empire. Adult admission: $20. Children ages 6-17, $12.
