Deal: Summer sale plus loyalty membership saves 25% at Red Lion Hotels

Red Lion Hotels takes 15% off summer room rates and an additional 10% discount for those who join or are members of the brand’s loyalty program.

The deal: Own Your Summer, as this deal is called, applies to participating sites in the RLHC family: Red Lion Hotel, Red Lion Inn & Suites, Hotel RL, GuestHouse or Settle Inn.

Use the code “Summer” and sign up for the free Hello Rewards program and you’ll see room prices at 25% off. Other perks — available at each site’s discretion — include early check in/late check out, a $5 dining credit and a $5 credit for kids (read the terms for cashing in on these).

When: Prices are good for stays though Aug. 29.

Tested: I checked room availability online for Red Lion Oakland International Airport in Oakland from July 22 to 24. (There’s also a free shuttle to and from the airport.)

Summer sale prices start at $138 for a room with a king-sized bed, down from $162. Rooms for Hello Rewards members with the same deal on the same dates start at $122.

Other Red Lion sites in California include Redding, Sacramento and Anaheim. In the West, you’ll find the brand in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and British Columbia, Canada.
