Want to splurge on your next trip to Hawaii? You can snag a presidential or penthouse suite at eight Aqua-Aston Hospitality resorts, but be prepared to pick up your phone to make a booking.

The penthouses can be reserved only by calling the company’s new Hawaii-based reservations center, according to a spokesman. It’s open 24/7.

  • Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, Maui. The penthouse is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with a wraparound lanai that boasts views of the West Maui mountains, the Pacific Ocean and the neighboring island of Molokai. The living area includes a baby grand piano, and the kitchen features top-of-the-line Fisher & Paykel appliances. Rates from $756 a night.
  • Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites, Oahu. In the 1960s, this newly remodeled property gained fame in the opening credits of the original TV show “Hawaii Five-0.” Yes, that was actor Jack Lord as Detective Steve McGarrett standing on a balcony on the Ilikai’s 30th floor. The two-bedroom oceanfront suite starts at $710.
  • Aqua Bamboo Waikiki, Oahu. This two-bedroom penthouse is a bargain for families in search of spacious accommodations (1,078 square feet) on the ritzy top floor. There’s one potential hitch: After leaving the elevator, there’s a flight of stairs you have to clamber up to the room. Rates from $499.
  • Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head, Oahu. Located near the southern, more secluded, end of Waikiki Beach, the sprawling penthouse (1,701 square feet) covers an entire floor and features views of the ocean and Kapiolani Park. Rates starting at $1,350.
  • Aqua Kauai Beach Resort, Kauai. The hotel’s Presidential Suite is spacious and has panoramic vistas from two lanais. However, as is the rule on Kauai, this is a low-rise resort, not a soaring skyscraper. Rates from $1,300.
