Still room to watch and bet on Super Bowl Sunday at these Las Vegas places

Still not sure where to watch the big game in Las Vegas? Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest betting — and partying — days of the year in the city. So it’s not surprising that many well-known sports bars have been booked solid for Sunday’s match-up between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots in Houston.

Bettors put down a whopping $132.5 million in Nevada’s sports books during the 2016 Super Bowl Game. The Nevada Gaming Control Board said that was a record, beating the previous year’s total by nearly $17 million.

Here are three places that may still have room for those who want to experience Super Bowl LI in Vegas in style.

The Palm Restaurant

An upscale steakhouse may not spring to mind as a spot for sports, but the 60-inch TVs at this restaurant — located inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace — will be tuned to the game.

You’ll need to book a table for seating after 2 p.m. One dining option is the restaurant’s Sunday Supper. For $49, guests receive a 9-ounce filet mignon plus a choice of jumbo lump crab cake, Nova Scotia lobster or coconut-crusted sea scallops.

B&B Burger & Beer

Celebrity chefs Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali run this burger bar that, conveniently for Super Bowl bettors, is located beside the sports book at the Venetian.

Guests can drop in, but to make sure you get a seat, it’s best to buy something like two all-you-can-eat-and-drink offers.

For $200 per person, the MVP Package includes a special menu that offers specialty burgers plus sweet chile chicken wings and cheese fries.

SuperBook

The race and sports book at the off-the-Strip Westgate Resort & Casino (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton) features an enormous indoor LED video wall.
