Massive Lego garden sculptures are coming (and you don’t have to go to Legoland to see them)

Trying to lure the kids out into nature but they’re stuck at home playing with Legos? Don’t worry, now there’s an exhibit that covers both.

The “Nature Connects” exhibition coming to the South Coast Botanic Garden on Feb. 19 features 27 bigger-than-life statues made with Lego bricks.

The mega-plastic-brick animals and plants were built by New York artist Sean Kenney. (Check out the Lego portraits he does too.)

His work will be spread throughout the botanic garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula so you can explore real blooming flowers along with their Lego counterparts.

Kenney’s exhibit is touring different states. It’s at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture in Spokane, Wash., until Sunday, and at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach, Fla., until Feb. 14.

The show will remain at the Southern California garden through May 8. The garden also will host a Lego building contest from now until Feb. 27.

Tickets to the garden cost $9 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12 years old.
