National park photo ops: The best way to catch desert stars
The stars shine brightly at night near the Furnace Creek Resort in Death Valley National Park. With my camera set at ISO 1600, a 16mm lens and the shutter opened for 30 seconds, I waited for passing cars to light the sides of the dead tree and tried a little bit of flash-fill.
